To download, install, and use Respondus LockDown Browser. Please follow the steps below:
Download and Install:
Go to your exam in Canvas and click to begin the exam.
You’ll see a message indicating that LockDown Browser is required. Click the link provided to download the browser.
Once downloaded, open the file from your Downloads folder to install the program.

Important: Simply downloading LockDown Browser is not enough! It must be fully installed on your computer. The program will not work until the installation is complete. Make sure to open the downloaded file and follow the prompts to finish installing.
Launch Exam:
After installation, launch LockDown Browser. You’ll be prompted to log in to Canvas.
Once logged in, navigate back to your exam and click Start. The exam will now launch in LockDown Browser.
