Can't Log In to Canvas
If you’re having trouble logging in to Canvas, follow these steps to get back into your account quickly.
Step 1: Check Your Login Information
Canvas uses the same username and password as your student portal and student email. The only difference is how you enter your username.
When logging into Canvas, do not include “@my.south.edu.”
Enter only the first part of your email address (everything before the @ symbol).
Example:
If your email is AA12345@my.south.edu, your Canvas username is AA12345. Your password will be the same as the one you use for your portal and email.
Step 2: Reset Your Password
If you don’t know your current password, you can reset it here: Reset Your Password
After resetting, please allow 10–15 minutes for the change to update across Canvas, the student portal, and your student email.
